Because of the date of our parade, we became subject to compliance with the mandated 25% reduction in the length of parade routes along with every other parade in New York City.

Although our initial application for a permit, filed several months ago, specified the traditional parade route, the Parade Committee was notified that it would have to conform to the new regulations.

Working with the 94^th Precinct, a new application was filed, reducing the parade by approximately one and one-half blocks, and the new permit has since been issued to the satisfaction of all concerned.

The Parade Committee would like to commend Deputy Inspector Dennis Fulton, Commanding Officer, Captain Stefan Komar, Executive Officer, and Community Affairs Officers Scott Adamo and Carlos Ortiz for their guidance and assistance in re-filing our application and expediting approval.

The Parade will step off, as usual, at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, 30 May!
